The answer is yes and no. It really depends on the severity of bone loss. If we can add bone and regenerate it enough to support the implant then absolutely! If the bone loss is severe then we would most likely recommend against it due to the risk of failure. However, we always refer our patients to have special imaging such as ConeScan (dental ct scan) to get a good look at the bone density or level.
